Beltane 2008
In the Spring the Goddess and the God unite and the fertile ground is ripe for the seed. We wake the Earth from its slumber. Birds sing and flowers bloom and the rains come to soak into the earth to create a space for all kinds of growth in the rich soils. Queen of Heaven Circle lost one of their founding members, Sharon Rucker, during this time. Beltane was Sharon's favorite holy day on the Wheel. We dedicated this celebration in her honor. Maypole dancing and bringing in our guest speaker Laura First of Hicks with Stick Morris Dancers brought in the May in a traditional way. Below are images of our ritual.
