Elements of the Full Moon Ritual and Workshop
Air is represented by the wind. It's direction is East, it's time is Early Dawn and it's color is Yellow. This is an element that deals with New Beginnings and to start new endeavors. You feel it in the fresh spring time breezes when life begins anew and time starts to bring life back to the earth. The birds just starting to sing as the sun begins to peek over the horizon.
Fire is represented by hearth fires especially but also the natural fires that occur on the earth. It's direction is the South, it's time is Noon and it's color is Red. This element is about Love and Transformation. The Fires of Passion transform a person and help them grow in a relationship like the fires that burn the earth and create nutrients for new plant life. The warmth envelops us as we sit in the noon day sun.
Water is represented by the flowing rivers, trickling streams or the vast oceans. It's direction is West, it's time is Sunset and it's color is Blue. This element is about cleansing and emotions. It allows you to feel what is going on in and around you and release emtions freely without hindrance.
Earth is represented by the deep rich brown dirt. It is in the direction of the North, it's time is Midnight and it's color is Green. It is a Nurturing element as it cradles seeds and secures plants and trees. It grounds you and supports you. It is the Nurturing Mother Energy of Life.
Spirit is a part of all of us. It's representation is the unseen, it is timeless and it's color is Purple. This is the Universal Life force that connects us all. We have many names and many religions that call to it but in the end it is the reaching for the same. What is within and around us. In the pictures below you will see the glow of spirit in each and everyone of us.
Blessings!
