Samhain 2007
Samhain is a celebration of the Ancestors and of those who have passed on in the year. We come together to honor those who have brought us the many lessons in our lives. The ancestors who have created history or those who lived every day lives creating our familial histories. These past generations brought future generations to where they are today. We recognize those in our families, any mentors, people who have guided us along our path and those who have inspired us to become who we are today. We take time out to remember and connect to these members in meditation, prayer, divination and in our remembering. For modern earth Spiritualists this is the beginning of the New year on the Celtic Wheel . It is a time of new beginnings and a journey into the shadow side of the self as well as preparing for our hopes and dreams for the coming year. We release alot of the past events and et them go into the fires for transformation and renewal. The days begin to darken as the light starts to fade faster. You can begin a time of introspection as the nights get longer and the days are shorter. For this celebration Mike (Shad O'Slaya) and Angie (Magical Nghtingale) were the facilitators. Two beautiful altars were created as well as some wonderful moments as we gathered together to celebrate. We hope you enjoy the images from our ritual.
